ding dong~ knock knock~
After 6 months of working~ it is amazing tat~ time flies…. time is going faster and faster is it? don’t u think so?
august 2011… i went into garis after a short period of struggling with the job…
the 1st day, i already had jobs to follow… which i tot is normal but it isnt… everyone went hanging for the 1st week of work.. but me? i really did full and pack and tight 6 months internship… no regrets, no bad memories, very proud of myself… But of course i am very glad too having fellows seniors/supervisor guiding me… Thanks to Azura,Aaron, Azlin, Amin, Steven, Ravi… Thanks to all of you! Thanks for the caring, sharing and everything!
At first i thought 6 months is very long and is not necessary.. why other college/ uni 3 months or 4 months… why me 6 months? Bu then after going through the 6months.. i know 6 months is the time to learn alot… thanks to my lecturers for giving me 6 months intern.. they knew it… appreciate it… 6 months of working.. i covered the 4 stages of works!… although may be not every single process but i really know the stages may be 60% of the 4 stages?? yeah… FYI, there is schematic design stage, BP Submission stage, Tender stage, Construction Stage… 4 main statges…
for schematic design i have gone through it for like 6 days? which is an amazing job compare to the design we have in college… For BP Submission stage, i did it like for 1.5… For tender stage , this is the longest that i had gone through… 2.5 months.. For construction stage, 1.5 months… The stage i love the most is tender stage i guess… herm… The toughest is the CONSTRUCTION STAGE!!! phew.. always struggling for it… =)
The things i learnt the most, or i should say the things that every architect must go through is to draw toilet/bath detail… this is an important and i learnt a lot from there… may be u will say is just a toilet!…. but well, i really learn a lot from there… from the simplest thing like ‘where to place the toilet roll holder’ to the arrangement of tiles, to the ventilation to the aesthetic, to the wc (toilet bowl), to the piping system, drop of slab… a lot… it is like everything of a house… i didn’t realise i actually learnt a lot from toilet detail until the last 2 months… the more i do for other plans or design, the more i realise how important is it… Now , i recall about once my lecturer told me, toilet detail is everything, u know toilet detail, u will know how to deal with many things in architecture… yeap, i agree with it now, when i sit down and have a peace & clear of mind… I understands now Mr. an…
People in office is nice if you don’t involve in politics problems… I am sure that there is politics stuff everywhere, you just have to ignore it if u don’t like it… Like is this archi office, there is still this knid of prob.. but the architects still manage to live happily and communicate well between themselves… they are really a good example of being a human… haha.. Salute! I thought they wont be people who remember me… as my name is hard to remember and i m quite quiet… =) Bu then turn out when i choose to remember them and appreciate them, ended up today when i go n find them one by one to say bon voyage , they remember my name! it is just so amazing& touching! i tot i m invisible there… =) so realised that they saw me actually… =) Everybody say good luck and all the best…. nice to meet u… well… simple words but it works! Thank you for noticing me… =)
There is still many things to talk about here…herm
So… ^6 months of internship just ended here… congrats and prepare for your next wonderful journey…
